This private safari gives you more time to explore the African wilderness, discover different wildlife species and enjoy the natural beauty of Tanzania.
Your journey begins in Zanzibar, travelling by ferry to mainland Tanzania, followed by train and road transfers to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy two nights at your selected lodge and a full day exploring the park, including the Mkata Floodplain.

Day 1: Journey to Mikumi & afternoon game drive
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar. Travel by ferry to mainland Tanzania, continue by train and then take a road transfer to Mikumi National Park.
Upon arrival, meet your professional safari driver-guide and enjoy an afternoon game drive in your private 4x4 safari jeep. Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes and, with some luck, lions in their natural habitat.
Enjoy lunch before transferring to your selected lodge for dinner and your first overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-day safari adventure
After breakfast, head into Mikumi National Park for a full day of wildlife exploration. Explore the famous Mkata Floodplain, known for its open savannah landscapes and opportunities to spot different wildlife species.
Enjoy exciting game drives, wildlife photography and a picnic lunch during your safari. After a memorable day in the park, return to your lodge for dinner and your second overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning safari & return to Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast and, depending on your departure schedule, a final morning game drive.
Afterwards, begin your return journey to Zanzibar by road, train and ferry. Arrive back in Zanzibar with wonderful memories of your African safari adventure.
